Beloved of Them All

I understand why she is beloved of all the creatures of the zodiac.

I love her for the same reasons they do, because she is good and kind.  Because my life was loneliness and sorrow until she came and showed me that happiness and love were real.

The Sohma family needs her and she will be there for each of them.  She will help them as she once helped me.  That is what she does.  That is who she is.  I know that if she did not help them she would not be my precious Tohru.

Still, I am selfish enough that sometimes I wish that the members of the zodiac could settle their problems on their own.  That the rat and the dog, the dragon and the ox, the snake and the tiger could have taught each other to change, to grow, and to love, and left Tohru Honda to me.
