Triangular Circle
Lee figured Kay must have told Bucky how things were between the two of them. That even though they lived together and he took care of her, doted on her, loved her (yeah, he loved her) that he didn’t fuck her.
It wasn’t anything Bucky did that made Lee so sure he knew. It was what he didn’t do. If he was talking to Lee he didn’t take off when Kay appeared. He never got awkward or apologetic when he was with the two of them, assuming they would rather be alone together.
Knowing Lee and Kay weren’t together that way seemed to allow Bucky to be comfortable with both of them, to be a part of a triangular circle.
So Lee couldn’t be sore at Kay for clueing Bucky in on their non-existent sex life. He was actually kind of glad that Bucky knew. Maybe it made Lee less of a man in Bucky’s eyes but it also brought them closer. They didn’t have to be rivals, they could be friends. They could both love Kay and love each other.
No, Lee had no problem with there being one less secret between them. There were plenty of other things that Bucky didn’t know about him.
