The Princess and the Shadow: DC Comics Fic

Author: Bitterfig
Title: The Princess and the Shadow
Fandom: DC Comics
Character: Kate Kane (Batwoman)
Summary: Kate Kane’s decision to become Batwoman was not triggered by some horrific trauma, but was rather the culmination of a lifetime lived in the company of a secret self.
Beta Reader: Fedink
Word Count: 2084
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Mature themes, implied sexuality.
Author’s Note: Written for lgbtfest Prompt #443: DC Comics, Katherine Kane. Give Kate some backstory apart from being Renee's (ex) girlfriend. When did she first realize she was attracted to women? She's still (mostly) closeted; who knows she's queer and how did they find out?

Ends and Means: Teen Titans Drabble

Author: Bitterfig
Title: Ends and Means
Fandom: Teen Titans (DC Comics)
Pairing: Slade/Terra
Summary: Slade had always been a consummate professional. Consummate professionals did not seduce 16-year-old sociopaths. When had he fallen so low?
Word Count: 195
Beta-Reader: Fedink
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: Sexuality, some degrading language, references to violence.
Author’s Note: This was written at the end of June, 2008 for the “Summer of Blues & Love Drabble-a-thon” hosted by flareonfury for the prompt “There's a fine line between what is justified or just obscene.”. This drabble is based entirely on the comic book universe (I’ve never watched the cartoon), specifically events that take place during “The Judas Contract” storyline.
